The acropolis

Ancient acropolis · proposed 4th–2nd centuries BCE

The fortified summit overlooked the coast and routes inland. Its ancient enclosure extended beyond the smaller medieval castle visible today.

Published plans distinguish the ancient acropolis from the smaller medieval castle. Wall heights, buildings, terraces and paths remain proposals; the drone photographs are not a surveyed terrain model.
